Shop Small. Make a BIG difference.

‘Tis the season for holiday shopping, and although Small Business Saturday has passed, the opportunity to buy from small businesses abounds.

I’ve compiled businesses I’ve shopped from and posted them below. If you want to add a business to the list, just email me. They’re listed in no particular order.

Seattle Kraken-themed bracelet from Life Force Creatives

Life Force Creatives: This is my friend Shauna’s business. She makes gemstone bracelets. You can order premade styles on her website or work with her to create a customized bracelet. I love her bracelets and own several. She includes the properties of each stone used to create each bracelet. Shauna’s also one heck of a photographer, if you need photos for any occasion.

Three of Jordan Samuel Skin’s popular skincare products

Jordan Samuel Skin: Jordan is a former dancer with the Pacific Northwest Ballet. I met him in 2011 when I booked him for a daytime TV talk show I produced. Jordan highlighted PNB’s Second Stage program, which helps dancers transition to other businesses once they hang up their toe shoes. Jordan spotlighted a skincare line that’s all-natural and effective for all skin types. Since 2011, he’s expanded his line to include an impressive array of skincare products.

My SOPRANOS guitar from Gayle’s Unique Boutique

Gayle’s Unique Boutique: I met Gayle through my sister. I found so many cute Betsey Johnson purses and accessories, I may have gone a bit overboard with my spending! Gayle curates cool apparel, jewelry, and unique gift items, like guitars made out of license plates. I have one made out of a New Jersey license plate that reads SOPRANOS. It’s cool – and I can play it, too!

Gorgeous horseshoe design from BH Creatives

BH Creatives: I’ve known Brittney for years. She’s done amazing work to help countless wounded veterans and their families transition to civilian life. I just learned she’s as creative as she is dedicated. She has a small business where she tumbles and polishes rocks, makes suncatchers and other home decor items using crystals and rocks.  She lives in Orting, Washington, but she ships products.

K-Pop / K-Drama related shops:

My SUGA (BTS) “Hajima!” mug from Hobihearteu

Hobihearteu: I don’t remember how I found Hobihearteu’s shop. It must have been a “for you” suggestion on Instagram because she creates many BTS-related products. I’ve bought many stickers, a sticker book (so cute!), journals, note cards, t-shirts, and more. And cute BT21 coloring books!  She also has products relating to the band The Rose and K-Drama shows.

My “Future’s Gonna Be Okay” AGUST D journal from NoonasDreamShop

NoonasDreamShop: I found this shop through Hobihearteu. She designs gorgeous photos, posters, journals, and more. I just ordered a BTS-themed advent calendar. She creates products for several other K-pop groups and K-drama shows, so check her out to see if she has anything that interests/supports your K-pop fandom.

Gorgeous place card from Best Day Ever

Best Day Ever: This is a teacher friend’s online business. She creates custom designs for events, promotions, or everyday living. If you have a design in mind, she will work with you to bring it to life. I don’t know how she finds the energy. She’s an incredible teacher and an impressive, creative mind.
